  Software Development Manager January 2010 - present
  Hired as a software engineer, promoted to lead in 9 months, and manager in one year, with responsibility for a team of 7 developers. Development work on Rivet’s Excel add-in software for financial reporting and transparency, as well as tools, websites, services, and back-end components. Technology stack included C#, VSTO, WCF, TFS, LINQ, SQL, ASP.Net, SharePoint. Trained new developers, enabling a smooth ramp-up for a fast-growing and high-performance team. Screened and interviewed candidates for software development positions. Migrated all source code from SVN to TFS, enhancing developer productivity. Used TFS to manage a transition to agile/scrum process as the team grew. Elected by fellow employees to Rivet’s culture team, helping to define and implement the company’s culture and values.

  Senior Software Engineer May 2006 - January 2010
  Developed software across all tiers of InsureMe's service-oriented architecture (SOA), driving a high-volume, high-availability production website with over $100k in revenue per day. Responsibility for several major systems, including InsureMe’s credit card transaction system, interfacing with PayPal. Built and released software to staging and production systems with zero tolerance for failure. Technology stack included C#, CAB/SCSF, Windows Forms, SQL, ASP.Net, and Web Services. As a senior engineer, my responsibilities extended to design, estimation, code review, purchase evaluation, and training.

  Developed automated testing framework for data regression and user interface testing of Sungard's financial portfolio management software. Programmed in object-oriented 4Test language, with Access and SQL Server integration. Developed internal tools and utilities with Visual Studio and C# for build management, installation testing, DB administration, test case and test plan management.

  QA, Support, and Installation services for an enterprise-level point of sale and back office accounting system used by movie theaters, amusement parks, and stadiums. Maintained and supported systems with Access, VB, and SQL Server.
